In this six-episode podcast series, I bring the listeners on our journey across Europe to explore how women’s bodies have become the focus of a cultural and political battle in the name of defending the family, with my colleagues Francesca Berardi, Claudia Torrisi and Elsa Cabria.
From Madrid to Budapest, through Rome, Brussels and Warsaw, we met politicians, activists, experts and, most importantly women. We have tried to understand if, how and why an international network of conservative political parties and NGOs is planning a clampdown on sexual and reproductive rights, pushing for one specific type of family: the right one.
The English and Hungarian versions were written and narrated by me, Lili Rutai.
